Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Pediatric Physiotherapist specializing in Sensory Integration therapy and neurodevelopmental conditions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and related motor and behavioral challenges such as toe walking, developmental delay, and coordination disorders.
The role involves assessing, planning, and delivering individualized physiotherapy and sensory integration programs to help children improve functional movement, behavior regulation, and overall participation in daily activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed physiotherapy assessments for infants, children, and adolescents with neurodevelopmental and motor disorders
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans focused on:
- Sensory Integration Therapy
- Gross motor skill development
- Balance, posture, and coordination training
- Gait correction including toe walking management
- Work with children with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, and developmental delays
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and educators for multidisciplinary care
- Educate parents/caregivers on home exercise programs and behavioral strategies
- Track progress, maintain clinical documentation, and update treatment goals regularly
- Use play-based and child-friendly therapeutic approaches to enhance engagement
- Participate in case discussions and therapy planning meetings
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT/MPT)
- DHA Eligibility Letter is mandatory (active or in progress)
- Certification or formal training in Sensory Integration Therapy (preferred)
- Minimum 2–5 years of pediatric physiotherapy experience
- Proven experience working with:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- ADHD
- Developmental coordination disorder
- Toe walking and gait abnormalities
- Strong understanding of neurodevelopmental and behavioral conditions
